Connecticut is one of the most expensive states to live in — and Hartford keeps adding to the bill. Every spending vote is a tax hike on families in Chester, Deep River, Essex, and Haddam. Guy will oppose new spending and work to cut the burden on working families.

Local Control, Not Hartford Mandates
Hartford is overriding your town. Recently passed bills like HB 8002 skip over local government and push development into quaint towns. These zoning mandates ignore local character and charm. State bureaucrats think they know better than the people of Chester, Deep River, Essex, and Haddam. Guy will push back.

Parental Rights & Medical Freedom
They are YOUR kids, not the government's. Parents — not the state — should make decisions about their children's health and medical care, education, and upbringing — free from state mandates. Guy will defend parental authority against every Hartford overreach, especially when it comes to homeschool autonomy and freedom to educate. HB 5468 passed this past session, which takes power out of parents' hands and opens the door for more control in the coming sessions. Guy jumped into this race because of this issue.

Public Safety & the 2nd Amendment
Communities are safer when law enforcement and first responders have resources, support, and accountability to local residents. Guy supports our Police, Fire, and Medical teams and opposes Democrat policies that have demoralized departments and left neighborhoods less secure. Communities are also safer when responsible gun ownership is high. Guy supports the Second Amendment and will oppose any nonsense gun regulation.

Stop the Overreach Under Guise of Climate Change
Our state is beautiful — we should keep it that way. But "Fake Green" legislation punishes farmers and homeowners without delivering real environmental benefit. Guy supports genuine, community-led conservation — not sweeping bans designed for political gain. Guy will work on legislation that incentivizes truly green movements, not force it.

Pro-Business Approach
As a business owner, Guy knows how hard it is to run a small business. Taxes, regulation, excessive business fees, and licensing costs are a burden on owners and consumers alike. Guy will work to lower that burden with common-sense solutions. Connecticut thrives when it has strong local businesses — businesses employ the community, and if they're doing well, good things will happen.
